Any vendor (e.g. contractors, equipment suppliers, consultants, etc.) that would like to participate in a presentation is required to co-present with someone representing an institution of higher education. Specific general education topics may be considered for presentation without a co-presenter. Direct promotions of products, services, or monetary self-interest are not appropriate education sessions.
Primary sessions will be limited to 50 minutes (subject to change) including 10 minutes for Q&A. Due to the complexity of determining topic placement, we are unable to accommodate specific date and time requests. Speakers must be available to present on any day and time beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Individuals selected to present will be notified by June 30, 2018.
Speakers at the 2018 Big 10 and Friends Mechanical & Energy Conference will be considered attendees of the event and are expected to pay their own travel expenses and registration fees.
Abstracts must include: abstract title, name of author(s), institution/company name, email, mailing address, phone number, and a brief description of session content (300 words) with 3 learning objectives (no pictures). The submission deadline for abstracts is Friday, June 15, 2018. Individuals selected to present will be notified by June 29th.
